Today we are reviewing Shades of Magic Vol. 3: The Rebel Army by V. E. Schwab which is a graphic novel based on her famous Shades of Magic series. and it published in 2020 by Titan Comics. It collects Shades of Magic: The Rebel Army #9 - 12.
It is actually a prequel to the main series as we follow King Maxim Maresh when he was still a prince.
We are back in the world of Shades of Magic and its incredible magic system. It felt so good to be back in this world even if it was for a short time.
I read this volume I believe in an hour and I loved every bit of it. The story continues and concludes beautifully and the illustrations were stunning as always.
This volume was more intense and action packed than the previous ones.
I definitely need more from this world.
